As the old saying goes, “time waits for no one”. We all get the exact same 24 hours in a day. The question is, what is your time spent on? Having a moment to reflect on this will give clarity to whether you are productive, fulfilled, balanced and/or honest about how your time is being spent.

At one point in my life, I’d manage my schedule mostly in my head. For the most part, I was able to manage my time and meet my deadlines, however over time I’ve found that it’s necessary for me to write things down on a to-do list and keep up with the appointments, meetings, invitations and family commitments on my calendar. This helps me avoid overbooking and over committing.

You’ll often find me saying that I live a fulfilled life. It’s because I enjoy what I do professionally and I make time for the things I enjoy personally. One of those things is getting together with friends or family for brunch. I always enjoy a great meal and when your company is complimented by the perfect ambiance, makes for a winning combination.

It’s important that there be balance in how you approach your day. This is something I continue to work at. While I’ve been told I’m a workaholic, I just see that I’m very dedicated to what I do. That said, I do believe balancing my time is important. I’ve found that my commitment to working out 3 mornings a week has been very beneficial in finding the balance. I’m able to maintain high energy during my work day, while still having enough gas in the tank to enjoy leisure time later in the day.

Time is truly our greatest commodity and how we spend it is a very personal choice. There are loads of ways to approach this, but whatever way you choose, learning to manage your time can support you living a more fulfilled and balanced life.

I was reflecting the other day on how blessed I am. I’m at a place both personally and professionally that glimmers with examples of what most would call “success”. For me, hands down, success for me has been measured through my role as a mom.

The day my firstborn, my son, came into this world I was officially inducted into the mom’s club. I took my role very seriously and was afforded the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom. At an early age, I’ve always seen my son as a quiet warrior who enjoyed independent playtime: an observant, critical thinker, who leads with his empathetic heart for others.

By the time my second child, my daughter, my “Sunshine,” was born, motherhood took on a whole new meaning. From the moment my daughter came into the world she had a curiosity about everything around her. At just a few days old she was holding her head up on her own and everyday since I’ve watched my daughter blaze a trail for herself on her own terms. There is a duality to her personality that is reflected through her creativity, intellect, style and perspective.

For some, success is measured in where they’ve been, the experiences they’ve had, what they’ve accomplished in business and the financial portfolio they’ve garnered. Though I can appreciate those as successes too, my greatest success has come through my role as a mother. I count it to be such a blessing to be a mom. I stand on the shoulders of all the amazing mom’s that have come before me.

To all the women near and far that have been afforded an opportunity to raise and nurture children. To you I say, Happy Mother’s Day!

When I think of vibrant, the words bright, colorful, enthusiastic, exciting and energetic come to mind; all the words that put a smile on my face. Vibrancy can show-up in a person’s style or their personality.

Moving from Winter style into Spring comes the vibrant color palette with it. More bright colors are found on the runways, which make it into retail stores and eventually to our closets. I personally love color and incorporate quite a bit of vibrancy in my fashion choices and with my make-up. I even spread my wings with my manicure and pedicure colors heading into this time of year. It uplifts my spirits and I’m amazed at how many compliments from others I get as well. There was a time when I generally kept my nails and toes in pink or orange hues. Now you can find me in shades of green, purple and even blue.

Having a name like Praise Delight it’s assumed I have a vibrant personality. Truth be told: for the most part I do. When I’m out, I often get complimented on my smile. For me, this is one of the greatest compliments someone can give me. I try to smile as often as I can and for anyone that knows me, I love to laugh. I enjoy being of service to others and get such fulfillment out of it both in my personal and professional life.

With all that, we continue to experience our ever changing world, what better time to share your vibrant side with others. Whether through your style or your personality, don’t hold back on sharing your bright or energetic side. It’s amazing what it can do for you and for those you interact with!
